Soggy but serene.

It has been raining nonstop since I got up at 6:30 this morning. This does not bode well for any Saint Patrick's Day parades, but we've been celebrating since Saturday anyway. Our friends S and L always throw the best parties, and Saturday night was no exception. Who wouldn't enjoy a giant martini glass full of M&M's? Not to mention ragging each other over our respective karaoke talents? It was great.

Yesterday was also great, as my side of the family came over for dinner. Corned beef, cabbage, potatoes, soda bread and Andes mint pie. We ate like pigs, basically. I hate to admit it, but we did, in fact buy and watch "Black Sheep". Gory and gross in many parts, but really, REALLY funny if you can remember to close your eyes at the right moments. Another reason to knit: avoiding That Which Is Disgusting.

Tonight is part three of "Getting down with our bad selves". This involves taking Mom and Dad and joining D and K at a Greek restaurant (which will be serving corned beef and cabbage, go figure) and enjoying swing music as played by Kicks, a 17-piece band that truly kicks... they're really good.

Whoa, I gotta go change!

Glad you had fun at the party =) Altho, I had to look up 'more cowbell' afterwords!

I asked L if that means I need to work on my dance moves while I bang away on the cowbell. She said, yeah - and that I should grow a beard too lol

Ragging on your Karaoke talents, whatever! You're brilliant.

On the other hand, when I sing it, it sounds as if girls DO NOT want to have any fun whatsoever. Tee hee. Thanks for letting me sing harmony with you.
