Not a fundraiser for me, mind you, although the thought has crossed my mind on more than one occasion.
No, this is for somebody else. I got a phone call a few days ago from the local animal shelter. Every year, they have a dinner and auction to raise money for their operating expenses. Nearly everything is donated, and some of the auction items are really cool. The first year I was involved, I donated a pair of handknit socks. Last year, I made a hat and scarf set and a felted bag.
The shelter wants to know if I'd like to be involved this year, and I said "yes". The question is, what should it be?
The fundraiser takes place at the end of October, which gives me a reasonable amount of time to get something done. I'm not talking lace tablecloth amounts of time, but maybe a back-to-school thing like a kid's sweater? Another pair of socks? A dog sweater? A felted cat bed?
What would you make?

I like the idea of something for the pets.
Me too...something for the pets. People love that. Especially those with the smaller dogs.
That's easy..a quilted something----table runner or wall hanging!
I like the idea of a felted cat bed. Quick to whip up, and sure to find a good home at the auction!
