A whole year?!

And so the youngest member of Clan silfert celebrated his birthday. There was a family dinner on Friday, followed by dinner with the grandparents (and my sister and her girls) on Saturday. This was followed by a monstrously huge blowout at the coffeeshop, which was attended by roughly seventy people, give or take a few.

There was a lot of cake. A lot.

There were also presents!

Junior enjoyed everything from his new harmonica to his replica '57 Corvettes that race across the floor when you wind them up. He also enjoyed his cake:

When presented with his spice cake with whipped cream, Little Himself got down to the serious task of wiping off the cream! With both hands.

"No, Honey. Taste it first."

He slurped his fingers, considered, and then dove into his cake face first, pulling out big chunks to stuff in his mouth.

All in all, it was a very successful birthday.

Now, if I could just figure out how to remove whipped cream spots from wool yarn...

Looks like his party was a blast, especially the cake!
Wow,the coffee shope was packed...bet there wasn't a crumb of cake left.
So glad your wee one had a yum,yum time and got lots of goodies!
Happy knitting.

I just reread your post from the birth, and I have to ask him: Happy Birthday Little H., do you remember all the fuss you caused a year ago? Good luck with the whip cream. My only reaction to all food spills is lick it off.

I'm not being nosy...just concerned! I know, I know, you're probably busy.
Take care.
