Color therapy.

So, where does a knitter go when cabin fever sets in? Why, the nearest yarn shop, of course!

Today was an absolutely gorgeous day. Blue skies, light breeze, sixty-five degrees. After feeding Junior, I took one look out the window and declared, "We're going out!" Into the car with Mom, Junior and the diaper bag, and off we went.

Into the great green north rolled the world's shortest convoy. After a trip to the cake supply shop for red and blue sprinkles and a tiny plastic graduation cap, we headed for the yarn shop (Insert trumpet fanfare here).

We got a whole five steps inside the door and were mobbed by a group of cooing staff. This shop has some of the friendliest people in the world working in it, and they've been waiting rather impatiently for Junior to arrive. Now that an introduction opportunity had presented itself, they fussed with a vengeance, commenting favorably and introducing him to the customers.

Mama smiled modestly and bought a bag of Rowan 4 ply soft.

After a trip to the Mercantile for whole wheat pita bread, we met up with J for lunch at a Chinese buffet. It was great. We ate like starved crows. Now we're home again. Some of us are out buying stamps, some of us are being rocked to sleep, some of us are reading, and I'm typing a few lines before dinner.

Sniff, sniff. Mmm, grilled chicken wraps. Gotta go!

Junior definitely creates a stir wherever he goes...and rightfully so! ;)

Me thinks you are smitten. Now you know how it feels to bring a life into the world. Well done! Can't wait to see him this summer. Shhh! don't tell anyone but we're coming east this summer to see Uncle Bud. I'm assuming we'll be stopping by your place too. Hugs and smootchies to you and the little one.
