There was a lot of cake. A lot.
There were also presents!
Junior enjoyed everything from his new harmonica to his replica '57 Corvettes that race across the floor when you wind them up. He also enjoyed his cake:
When presented with his spice cake with whipped cream, Little Himself got down to the serious task of wiping off the cream! With both hands.
"No, Honey. Taste it first."
He slurped his fingers, considered, and then dove into his cake face first, pulling out big chunks to stuff in his mouth.
All in all, it was a very successful birthday.
Now, if I could just figure out how to remove whipped cream spots from wool yarn...

Looks like his party was a blast, especially the cake!
Wow,the coffee shope was packed...bet there wasn't a crumb of cake left.
So glad your wee one had a yum,yum time and got lots of goodies!

Wow a year! It goes by so fast. Sounds like a lot of fun was had.
I just reread your post from the birth, and I have to ask him: Happy Birthday Little H., do you remember all the fuss you caused a year ago? Good luck with the whip cream. My only reaction to all food spills is lick it off.
What a perfectly delightful first birthday. I have to tell you (again?) That he is absolutley adorable. Cake and presents, what a wonderful day.
Happy BD Junior.
That first birthday is always so special. Glad it was a good one.

I'm not being nosy...just concerned! I know, I know, you're probably busy.
Take care.
