A settled madness...

This was actually a pretty good Christmas, and not because of the loot. We didn't get to see all of the people we wanted to see, but we heard from them and sent many happy thoughts. We didn't go out much, but we saved gas and spent time enjoying each other.

All in all, a fine time indeed.

To top it off, I have been promised some serious stash enhancement! Himself is taking me to my favorite yarn shop for some fiber therapy in the form of roving replacement. "Do they call it 'top' because you spin it?"

Sounds good to me.

To welcome the new year, I bring you the most hilarious "new daddy" moment so far:

The little man awoke, and not liking this development, immediately broke into a wail. Himself and I converged on the nursery, having dropped everything in order to right what sounded like a terrible wrong. Himself, unfortunately, had just stepped out of the shower when he dropped...

everything.

He came striding into Junior's room, singing an impromptu version of "Hush Little Baby".

"Whatsa matter with this little dude?"

A gasp, a retreat behind a hastily-slammed door, and a muffled continuation of his song.

"The window is open and I'm all nude!"

Happy Nude, er, New Year!

I bet someone was blushing just the color of some Cherry-Chili filling. (The candy was delish, the chili adds just a slight warm glow.)

Ha-Ha! (insert Simpson's sound track here) You've inspired me! Tell Himself I'm trying to blot the image from my mind.

That is too funny. LOL, a memory for a lifetime. Kids make so many of those for us.
