In which I make myself crosseyed.

Those of us who craft usually get wild hairs in various places when somebody annouces an imminent baby. When that person is a very close friend expecting a first grandchild, the crafter goes momentarily insane.

"Oh! I'll knit a christening gown!"

Guess what I've been doing the past few months? I'll give you a hint: it involves yarn with the diameter of hair and needles the size of pencil leads.

Like it? The pattern is called Ribbons and Lace, and I stumbled across it here.

Great pictures, eh? You can probably guess that I didn't take them. This guy did. Totally off the cuff in our living room, and they turned out like magic.

And so that's what I've been doing lately. Now I'm going to rest my eyes...

Thank you all! Makes me want to make another one in a different yarn, just to see how it turns out.

Not this week, though...
